Location The resort is 82 km from Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport.
Description of the beach Mirissa Beach is one of the best and ideal for swimming in Sri Lanka. It is located on the southern coast of the island, washed by the waters of the Indian Ocean. Mirissa Beach consists of three lagoons separated by a small rocky hill protruding into the ocean called Parrot Rock (the largest lagoon is located to the west of the hill, and the other two are smaller to the east). The total length of Mirissa beach is about 1.5–2 kilometers. The width of the beach varies from 10 to 40 meters depending on the season and the phases of the moon. All lagoons are covered with fine soft golden sand interspersed with black volcanic.
